Before Your Golden Hour Session

What you do in the 24–48 hours before your appointment shapes everything. A little preparation is all it takes to ensure your bronze develops flawlessly.

Please review the following carefully. Each step exists to honor your result.

Exfoliate — 24 Hours Before

The foundation of a flawless tan. Gently exfoliate your entire body to remove any dry or dead skin — paying particular attention to elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists. This creates a clean, even canvas for your custom bronze to adhere to and develop uniformly.

Avoid oil-based scrubs — these can create a barrier against absorption.

Shave or Wax — At Least 24 Hours Prior

Hair removal should be completed no less than 24 hours before your session. Freshly shaved or waxed skin has open pores that can absorb solution unevenly, creating a dotted or patchy appearance. Waxing is preferred over shaving when possible.

Arrive Clean — No Products on Skin

Come to your session free of all moisturisers, oils, perfumes, deodorant, and makeup. Any residue on the skin will act as a barrier and prevent your tan from developing evenly. A clean shower immediately before is ideal.

If you're arriving from the beach or pool, please rinse thoroughly beforehand.

Wear or Bring Dark, Loose Clothing

Tight clothing can rub against freshly applied solution and affect your tan's development. Please wear or bring dark, loose-fitting clothing and open-toed footwear to your appointment — this protects both your result and your garments from cosmetic bronzer transfer during the development phase.

Tanning Attire

Wear a swimsuit, bikini, or undergarments you are comfortable being tanned in. Your session is entirely private. Disposables are available upon request. Whatever makes you most comfortable — your technician will work around your preferences.

Long or Light Hair — Secure It

Please come prepared to secure your hair up and away from your neck and back. Long hair can interfere with application in those areas, and cosmetic bronzers can temporarily tint very light hair. A clip or bun is perfect — we'll also have hair protection available at your session.
